Head of Procurement

Overview Our client, a leading company in Lebanon is currently seeking a Head of Procurement to join their team. This role will be responsible for leading the procurement team and ensuring the department operates efficiently and effectively to support the organization's strategic and operational objectives. Responsibilities Lead and oversee the procurement department, ensuring the development and enhancement of relevant competencies within the team. Identify and implement cost-saving opportunities to help the organization achieve its financial performance targets and key performance indicators (KPIs), while upholding the highest levels of compliance. Establish and govern effective procurement processes, such as tendering, contracting, and supplier performance management. Ensure seamless communication and collaboration with various internal departments. Guarantee accurate and timely reporting at both the operational and corporate levels. Demonstrate the ability to source and connect with a diverse range of suppliers in the market, upholding the highest standards of integrity and compliance. Champion the communication and adherence to all safety policies and occupational health and safety objectives as they relate to suppliers and procurement-related activities. Qualifications University Degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, industrial). Good knowledge of the supply chain including applicable laws and regulations. Excellent Negotiation Skills and hand on for daily buying activities. Minimum 15 years of experience in a managerial position in the procurement or a related field. Language requirements: Arabic and English. French is a plus. Other requirements: Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point). SAP Knowledge is a plus. #J-18808-Ljbffr Top Notch Consultancy
