Lead Registered NurseThe Lead Registered Nurse is responsible for assisting the Director of Nursing in the planning, developing, organizing, implementing, and evaluating nursing services and periodically assisting in the updating of policies and procedures related to nursing services and functions.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Ensures continual delivery of high-quality nursing careAdopts and implements innovative nursing practices to improve the facilityEnsures that surgical staff remains in compliance with professional development, Company, and regulatory standardsMaintains a healthy, collaborative team environmentMentors/trains all nursing staffEnsures and maintains proper documentation of all facility reporting and surgical logsEnsures operation of medical and administrative equipment by verifying emergency equipment availability; completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs; maintaining equipment inventories; evaluating new equipment and techniquesEnsures facilities have medical supplies and inventory by studying usage reports; identifying trends; anticipating needed supplies. Ensures supply orders are submitted for fulfillment.Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societiesMaintains a cooperative relationship among health care teams by communicating information; responding to requests; building rapport; participating in team problem-solving methodsContributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as neededFills in for nursing vacancies, as needed; performing the roles and responsibilities of a Registered NurseCoordinates annual influenza vaccinationsMonitors all aspects of patient care. Actively responds to and reports on all reported patient infectionsPrepares rooms, sterile instruments, equipment and suppliesDeals compassionately, professionally, and courteously with patients, their families, physicians, and fellow employeesFollows compliance, safety and infection control procedures and ensures all nursing staff do the sameAdheres to all federal, state and nursing regulations and protocols including but not limited to patient safety procedures such as verification of patient identification prior to proceduresIdentifies an emergency situation and is able to appropriately interveneUnderstands and administers regulatory policies (i.e.: Joint Commission, CDC, and State)Deploys, monitors, and ensure that the facilities' operational processes are appropriately integrated within the facility's quality programsImplements a program of job-based orientation, training, and on-going evaluation for all employeesPromotes the implementation of positive customer relations by the employees and physiciansOversees and ensures that daily, quarterly, annual and QAPI reports, Quarterly Drills and paperwork are completed and submittedOversees and ensures that daily/quarterly/annual binders/logs are up to dateIdentifies areas that require additional reinforcement through education, consultation, or practicumHas working knowledge of all equipment and proceduresEnsures appropriate staffing levels through the maintenance of the nursing scheduleCreates, maintains and updates reports, as directedActively participates in safety, infection control, and quality control committees/meetingsUndergoes annual competencies specific to safety surveillance and monitoringCompletes quarterly peer reviews and hand-washing assessments for assigned facilitiesManages and maintains the Emergency/Disaster preparedness proceduresManages all incident reporting for assigned facilitiesManages radiation badge supply and assignmentsChecks work e-mail on a regular basis throughout the workdayParticipates in and complete all required trainings and in-servicesPerforms other duties as assignedMinimum Qualifications:Associate's Degree from an accredited college or university in a related field of study.Three (3) years' experience as a Registered Nurse, with at least one (1) year in an administrative nursing role; OR an equivalent combination of education and/or experience.Must have knowledge of Internet and Microsoft Office software (MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Outlook).Must possess and maintain current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state in which the employee practices, or must hold a nursing license within a compact eligible state. Proof of licensure and/or compact eligibility must be submitted.Must possess a current ACLS and BLS certification.Must possess and maintain certification as an Infection Preventionist.Must have excellent written and oral communication skills, including exceptional customer service.Must be able to establish and maintain effective working relationships with doctors, clinical staff, other co-workers and the public.Must be able to work individually as well as within a team.Must be able to follow both verbal and written instructions.Must be able to work a flexible schedule.Must be able to respond with patience and understanding during stressful conditions related to patient health and emergent situations.Must be able to multi-task and prioritize.Must demonstrate extreme attention to detail.Must possess strong organization skills.Must be able to problem solve and use reasoning.Must be able to meet predefined quality standards.Must maintain and project a professional attitude and appearance at all time.Must have a working knowledge of the healthcare field and medical specialty, as well as medical terminology.Must provide proof of influenza vaccination annually.Must complete two (2)-step PPD.Must complete all regulatory competencies prior to beginning work in the ASC.Must be able to effectively oversee, manage and direct a team of nursing professionals.All staff are expected to have a strong desire to provide excellent customer service; to comply with the rules and regulations of those organizations to which we are accountable; to have high ethical and professional standards of conduct; and to have an attitude of wanting to continuously improve their own professional performance.Preferred Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university in a related field of study.One (1) year of prior experience working in a Pain Management practice.One (1) year of prior experience working with an Electronic Medical Record (EMR).Driving/Travel:The employee must have reliable transportation. Travel for this position will be required up to 100%. While the primary workplace may be closest to the employee's home, work assignments could be in any of the Company's locations.Compensation and Benefits:Pay Range : $93,600/year to $104,000 annuallyPTO : Up to 96 hours in first year (pro-rated based on start date)Holidays : 7 (New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Day After Thanksgiving, Christmas Day)Retirement : 401(k) with employer matchHealth Benefits : Medical (single and family), Dental (single and family), Vision (single and family)Other Company-Paid Benefits : Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, Basic Life/AD&D, Employee Assistance ProgramOther Voluntary Benefits : Voluntary Life, Accident, Critical Illness, Hospital IndemnityOther Compensation : This position is exempt (salaried) and is not eligible for overtime pay.
