Junior Project Manager & PMO Coordinator

Junior Project Manager & PMO Coordinator Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant professional experience preferred. Approximately 1-3 years of experience in project coordination, project management, PMO support, business operations or a related discipline preferred. Experience coordinating multiple activities, priorities or workstreams simultaneously. Exposure to structured project management practices and methodologies. Experience working in a business or technology change environment would be advantageous. Preferred Qualifications CAPM, PRINCE2 Foundation or equivalent project management training/certification is advantageous but not required. Key Responsibilities Project Management & Delivery Manage assigned small or lower-complexity projects from initiation through completion, with appropriate oversight from a senior Project Manager or PMO leader. Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, milestones and deliverables. Coordinate project activities across business, technology, vendors and other stakeholders. Monitor progress against agreed scope, schedule and objectives. Identify, track and elevate project risks, issues, dependencies and decisions. Manage project actions and follow up with owners to ensure timely completion. Prepare and communicate regular project status updates. Support project closure, lessons learned and handover activities. Project Coordination & PMA Support Provide project coordination and administrative support to Project Managers across larger or more complex initiatives. Schedule and coordinate project meetings, workshops, steering committees and governance forums. Prepare agendas, capture minutes, decisions and actions, and follow up on outstanding items. Maintain project documentation and ensure key artefacts are current, appropriately stored and accessible. Maintain RAID logs, decision logs, action trackers, milestone plans and other project controls. Assist Project Managers with preparation of presentations, status reports and governance materials. Support tracking of project budgets, forecasts, resources and vendor activities where required. Maintain accurate portfolio information across active projects and initiatives. Coordinate regular project status reporting and consolidate information for PMO and leadership reporting. Support preparation of portfolio dashboards, reports and management presentations. Track portfolio-level milestones, risks, issues and dependencies. Support project intake, initiation and governance processes. Maintain the PMO project repository, templates, standards and supporting documentation. Help ensure projects follow agreed project management and governance standards. Support PMO meetings and governance forums, including preparation of materials and tracking of resulting actions. Assist with resource and capacity information across the project portfolio. Support onboarding of new projects and Project Managers into PMO processes and tools. Identify opportunities to improve PMO processes, reporting, templates and tools. Help develop and maintain practical project management standards and best practices. Support adoption of consistent project management practices across the organization.
