Let's shape the future of packaging together!Production Supervisor Job SummaryThe Press Supervisor will supervise all aspects of the Press Department. Responsibilities include the assignment of department employees and coordination of workflow with other departments. Trains employees and evaluates progress.Primary Duties and ResponsibilitiesPlans and implements production sequences to meet production goals.Evaluates performance of individual employees based on goals for productivity and quality.Develops and implements standard operating procedures to promote efficiency and quality production.Coordinates preventative machine maintenance to minimize production down time.Supervises and trains employees on safety, quality, and productivity.Ensures compliance with established plant policies and procedures.Implements production schedules by coordinating machine and personnel assignmentsCommunicates with other department managers and supervisors regarding production schedules and requirements to ensure product quality and resource efficiency.Performs other duties as assigned.The minimum education required for this position is a High School Diploma or Equivalent. May include specialized classes beyond high school.Typically possesses 3-5 years of relevant professional work experience. Prior supervisory experience is preferred but not required.First level of supervision or project lead. Responsible for a team performing one function (for example, customer service, bindery) for a project.
