Sales Executive - Remote - Flexible Packaging

OTE Package - $285,000+

We are seeking an experienced Sales Executive to develop new business within the flexible packaging market across the United States.

This role is ideally suited to a well-connected sales professional who understands the flexible packaging industry, has strong market relationships and can identify new commercial opportunities. The successful candidate will be expected to use their industry knowledge and network to open new doors, while taking a proactive, hunter-focused approach to winning business .

The successful candidate will be responsible for introducing flexible packaging solutions to new customers, developing a strong sales pipeline and building long-term commercial relationships across the food manufacturing and industrial sectors.

The role is remote and will involve up to 35% travel for customer meetings, trade shows and industry events.

Key responsibilities:

• Use existing relationships and market knowledge to identify new commercial opportunities

• Generate new business through prospecting, networking, referrals and industry engagement

• Develop and manage a strong sales pipeline

• Build relationships with procurement, operations, plant and senior decision-makers

• Understand customer requirements and recommend appropriate flexible packaging solutions

• Manage the full sales process from initial contact through to negotiation and close

• Meet or exceed agreed sales targets

• Work closely with pricing, quotation, production, operations and technical teams

• Attend customer meetings, trade shows and relevant industry events

• Develop and grow a long-term customer territory

About you:

• At least 3-5 years of successful B2B sales experience

• Experience in flexible packaging or a closely related packaging or industrial sector

• Established relationships within the flexible packaging market

• A proven track record of winning new business

• A strong hunter mentality and confidence opening new customer accounts

• Experience selling to food manufacturers, industrial manufacturers or packaging buyers

• Good understanding of packaging products, applications and manufacturing processes

• Strong negotiation, presentation and relationship-building skills

• Ability to manage the complete sales cycle independently

• Self-motivated, organized and comfortable working remotely

• Willingness to travel up to 35% of the time
