Statutory Accounting Manager | Insurance A growing P&C Insurance company is expanding its accounting team and is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant or Statutory Accounting Manager with a strong insurance background. This role will support statutory reporting, accounting operations, and financial integrations as the organization modernizes systems and expands through acquisitions. This position reports directly to the Controller and offers meaningful exposure to leadership, systems transformation, and enterprise‑level insurance accounting. Key Responsibilities Prepare and support statutory financial reporting (Blue Book and/or Yellow Book) Assist with insurance accounting operations, including month‑end close and general ledger activities Support financial consolidations and integrations related to new entities and acquisitions Partner on general ledger system implementation and modernization initiatives Help improve accounting processes in a dynamic, entrepreneurial environment Collaborate cross‑functionally with finance leadership, including the Controller and CFO Serve as a mentor to junior team members as the department continues to scale Qualifications 4–7 years of experience in insurance accounting Background with an insurance carrier preferred; Big 4 experience also considered Working knowledge of statutory accounting and reporting requirements Experience with GL implementations or accounting system upgrades is a plus Comfortable operating in a fast‑changing environment with evolving structures Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset 401(k) with up to 6% company match HSA with $3,000 company contribution Hybrid work model: 2–3 days in office per week (Long Island, NY) Seniority level: Mid‑Senior level Employment type: Full‑time Base pay range: $130,000.00 – $150,000.00 per year #J-18808-Ljbffr Global Accounting Network
