That's why our teams are comprised of compassionate, dedicated professionals from a variety of backgrounds who collaborate to provide the very best evidence-based care for our clients at all levels of care.Position OverviewThe Behavioral Health Specialist supports the milieu by facilitating therapeutic skills and activity groups, providing therapeutic meal support at mealtimes and snacks, assisting clients in acquiring skills to manage their eating disorder, maintaining a recovery-oriented environment, and providing general support and assistance.ScheduleFull Time - Onsite, 0.8 FTE (32hrs/wk), working Monday through Friday 7:45am to 2:30pm.Compensation Range:Behavioral Health Specialist: $20.00 - $23.00 HourlyFinal Compensation offered will be within pay range based on qualifications/experience met for the position.How Behavioral Health Specialists Empower RecoveryFacilitates therapy groups including skills groups (including CBT and DBT), self-monitoring groups, and experiential activity groups which may include art activities, music, journaling, mindfulness, relaxation, and movement.Participates in therapeutic supported meals and snacks.Provides milieu support.Contributes to the creation and maintenance of a recovery-oriented therapeutic environment.Participates in treatment team, mini team, therapy team, and/or case consultation meetings.Completes clinical documentation in compliance with company policies and regulatory standards.Performs additional duties as assigned.QualificationsGeneral Education RequirementsA bachelor's degree in a mental, behavioral, counseling, or behavioral sciences health-related field is strongly preferred.ORAn associate's degree may be considered if combined with equivalent experience in the mental or behavioral health field.Regardless of degree, a minimum of 1 years of direct patient care experience in a mental/behavioral health setting is required.Other Qualifications:Employees at Residential or Inpatient sites must have a valid driver's license and be authorized to drive.Employees at Residential or Inpatient sites are required to have a current Basic Life Support certification within 30 days of hire.Employees at Residential or Inpatient sites are required to have a current First Aid certification within 30 days of hire.Employees at Residential or Inpatient sites in North Carolina or Georgia are required to have a current CPI certification within 30 days of hire.Competencies:Exhibits passion for our clients, values, and organization.Demonstrates excellent clinical customer service using therapeutic communication skills to build strong client relationships and improve outcomes.Participates in providing clinically competent care by self/staff/team through education, role modeling, teambuilding, clinical documentation, and quality monitoring.Uses leadership, team building, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills to build partnerships within and across system.Engages in self-evaluation process, seeking feedback regarding own practice, from clients, peers, professional colleagues, and others.What We Offer:Employee Benefits: We understand the importance of a well-rounded benefits package.
