Needed for Dental Office located in Bardonia, NY

Salary $25-$28/ HR; BASED ON EXPERIENCE

Responsibilities:

• Assist the dentist during exams and procedures, ensuring efficient four-handed dentistry
• Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials; maintain a clean and organized clinical environment
• Sterilize and disinfect instruments and operatories in compliance with OSHA and CDC guidelines
• Take and process dental X-rays in accordance with state regulations
• Accurately chart patient information, treatment notes, and clinical records
• Provide patient education, post-operative instructions, and support to ensure comfort and understanding
• Greet patients warmly and manage check-in and check-out processes
• Schedule, confirm, and coordinate patient appointments to support efficient office flow
• Answer phones, respond to messages, and address patient questions professionally
• Verify insurance eligibility, submit claims, and follow up on outstanding insurance matters
• Collect copays and payments, post charges, and assist patients with billing and treatment plan questions
• Maintain accurate patient records and ensure HIPAA compliance
• Coordinate communication between front desk, clinical team, and providers
• Monitor and restock clinical and office supplies as needed
• Support overall office operations and contribute to a positive, team-oriented work environment

Qualifications:

Minimum one year of experience as a chairside dental assistant.

Must be able to take radiographs.

Must be comfortable working chairside with suctioning and other tasks.

Experience with Dentrix is preferred.

Front desk experience is preferred but not required; must be willing to learn.

Must be willing and able to help with any task.
