Some travel for onsite client meetings, 25% (once per quarter), travel expenses will be the responsibility of the candidate or vendor.About the JobDuration: 9-month contract with possibility of extensionLocation: Clemson SC 29634Database Administrator - Advanced (UC4 Engineer/Database Administrator)Interviews: VirtualJob ID: 7920Scope of the project:The projects involved are highly complex development projects undertaken by our client for upgrades and operations of their UC4 Medicaid Management Information Systems, which include mainframe and client-server applications.Daily Duties / Responsibilities:Our client is seeking a Senior UC4/Automic professional with the knowledge and experience, including the Linux operating system, along with comparable communication and interpersonal skills to enable success on this high-visibility project. Position will perform application management support for UC4/Automic Operational Manager enterprise scheduler. Position will be required to provide technical analysis, incident management, reporting and perform upgrades. Position will also perform some Linux systems administration on a shared team.Duties include:Provide Application Admin Support of our client's Enterprise Scheduling Applications.Develop or drive development of monitoring solutions to assist in the Application Admin SupportDevelop reporting solutions for analyzing jobs runs and batch environment.Support triage of real time production incidents as well as root cause analysis of batch jobs that introduce an undesirable affect in the production environment.Manage upgrade or migration efforts related to existing jobsIntegrate UC4 with Linux, Windows and Mainframe environments, ensuring seamless operations.Work with Job Scheduling team in development and provide training related to job standards and methods, escalation processes, and diagnostic approaches.Develop or drive development of disaster recovery solutions for job scheduling and ensure high availability of the UC4/Automic ApplicationDevelop, enhance and support automation scripts using JCL, Bash, Powershell, Perl and Java.Provide expertise in cross-platform scheduling tools such as Control-M and Autosys.Managing patch levels and planning future upgrades to the UC4/Automic productDocumenting job scheduling policies and proceduresDevelop and update reports for application administrative and operational needs24/7 on call support on a rotating schedule.Other duties as assigned.Required Skills (rank in order of Importance):The Senior UC4/Automic role has four major attributes: system administration, software development leadership, people skills, and domain knowledge in enterprise class multi-tier application development projects. Candidates must display excellence in all areas.5-7 years of UC4/Automic experience in a Linux and windows environment5-7 years in supporting the UC4/Automic application while using Oracle and SQL as the database.5-7 years of performing successful UC4 upgrades in Production Environments.5-7 years programming/Scripting skills in JCL, Powershell, Perl and Java.2+ years with Control-M and Autosys scheduling toolsUnderstanding of IT development and implementation projects.Strong written and oral communication skills, including the ability to give presentations to project management. Strong proficiency in English.Impeccable integrity. Candidates must be confident with their abilities to make correct decisions and the courage to speak out when necessary.Willingness and ability to effectively engage with people and organizations on a continuous basis.Required Education:Bachelor's degree in a technical, business, or related field. A Master's degree is desirable.Preferred Skills (rank in order of Importance):Experience in RedHat-based environment, Experience programming with BashRequired Certifications:None required.
