Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough evaluations to assess the severity, frequency, and duration of mood disorder symptoms in clients, enabling you to pinpoint areas of concern and intervention.

• Develop personalized treatment plans in collaboration with clients, tailoring therapeutic approaches to suit their unique goals, preferences, and backgrounds.

• Employ evidence-based therapies such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to facilitate effective, proactive treatment strategies.

• Educate clients and their families on the nature of mood disorders, available treatment options, and self-care practices to promote understanding and encourage proactive involvement in their treatment.

• Continuously monitor client progress and efficacy of treatment plans, adjusting therapeutic interventions as necessary to maximize client outcomes.

• Coordinate with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to provide integrated care that addresses the multifaceted needs of clients.

• Stay informed about the latest research and developments in mood disorders and therapeutic modalities to enhance treatment efficacy.

• Maintain accurate and confidential clinical documentation compliant with state regulations and ethical standards.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on clients facing mood disorders, including but not limited to depression, anxiety, and bipolar disorder. You will also have the opportunity to work with diverse client groups, including the homeless, refugees, and survivors of domestic abuse, guiding them through their journeys toward recovery and improved mental health.

Qualifications\n

• A current and active state license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) is required.
