Facilities Electrician

Job Overview The Operations Support A – Electrician will install, repair, and maintain all electrical and Facilities mechanical systems and equipment. The role involves driving cycle‑time improvements, executing EHS actions, and designing and implementing fixtures and tooling for manufacturing improvement. Responsibilities Diagnose and repair equipment and building electrical systems. Maintain electrical components such as motors, transformers, switch gear, rectifiers, control systems, fire alarms, motor control centers, and shop machinery power feeds. Run conduit, replace fuses, and install new electrical gear; troubleshoot circuitry. Perform office electrical maintenance, light trimming, and new electrical installations. Read and work with schematics and wiring diagrams; order required materials. Conduct comprehensive inspections using inspection instruments and gauges to detect malfunctions. Analyze failure causes and execute corrective actions for control systems. Plan, layout, rig, move, erect, and install complex equipment and machinery, including overhead cranes. Maintain clean and safe work areas and equipment. Train and mentor other staff as needed. Participate in EHS initiatives and lead safety performance throughout the plant. Identify and implement process improvement opportunities to enhance quality and product flow. Engage in lean initiatives and apply Six Sigma tools for continuous improvement. Execute Kaizens for continuous improvement. Qualifications Associate’s degree from an accredited college or university in a related discipline, OR Military A or C School in a related discipline, OR Completion of an accredited apprenticeship program with a Journeyman’s card. Pay Range Hourly base pay ranges from $34.68 to $42.89, subject to candidates’ experience, education, and skill set. The position may also receive contractually negotiated general wage increases and COLA increases.
