The Ocean Export Coordinator will be responsible for managing export shipments from origin to destination, ensuring compliance with international shipping regulations, coordinating with carriers and overseas agents, and delivering exceptional customer service throughout the export process.

The candidate will have experience in freight forwarding, ocean export operations, and international logistics, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple shipments and deadlines.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage ocean export shipments from booking through final delivery.
• Arrange bookings with ocean carriers and negotiate schedules as needed.
• Prepare and review export documentation, including: Bills of Lading, Commercial Invoices, Packing Lists, Shipper's Letters of Instruction (SLI), Certificates of Origin, Export Declarations and related documents
• Ensure compliance with U.S. export regulations and customer-specific requirements.
• Communicate shipment status updates to customers, overseas offices, agents, carriers, trucking companies, and warehouses.
• Monitor shipment milestones and proactively resolve delays, documentation discrepancies, and service issues.
• Coordinate inland transportation and warehouse activities as required.
• Maintain accurate shipment records and update transportation management systems.
• Review carrier invoices and verify billing accuracy.
• Collaborate with sales and operations teams to support customer retention and growth initiatives.
• Meet established service-level agreements (SLAs) and operational performance standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience in ocean export freight forwarding.
• Must have experience of CargoWise
• Strong understanding of international shipping documentation and export procedures.
• Knowledge of ocean carrier booking processes and export compliance requirements.
• Proficiency with freight forwarding software and Microsoft Office applications.
• Excellent organizational, multitasking, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
