Experienced Cath Lab tech. Requirements: Cath Lab Tech experience. Minimum of one year. Cath Lab checklist required. ARRT (R) Radiography - Must have in hand. NJ Diagnostic Radiologist Tech License required. (1-2 Weeks) Can submit without it in hand, but if they have it please be sure to attach it with the submission.

Shift: Call is roughly one weekend per month, Friday-Sun and approx 1 day per week. Must be able to arrive to facility within 30 minutes for emergency call.

Certifications: ACLS, ARRT R, BLS, NJ RT License

Important Details: Local resources permitted at lower rate 75 mile radius. RNs must be prepared to complete a Basic Arrhythmia Exam that is not multiple choice. This exam requires you to independently interpret cardiac rhythms using EKG strips and perform necessary calculations to determine the correct answers. This is a PASS FAIL exam. A score of 80% is required and no re-takes are allowed. You should be able to: accurately analyze EKG strips using systematic interpretation (rate, rhythm, P waves, PR interval, QRS complex, etc.), with measurements using the 5 steps process; calculate heart rate using appropriate methods (e.g., 6-second strip, R-R interval); identify and differentiate between rhythm types without prompts or answer choices. The exam will include, but is not limited to: ventricular rhythms, atrial rhythms, heart blocks, junctional rhythms, paced rhythms. Traveler must begin lab work within 2 business days of acceptance, or they are at risk of cancellation. Floating: All current and future travelers at the Valley Hospital Paramus and The Valley Hospital Float Pool are expected to float, as needed, to the Ridgewood Observation Unit (an offsite location in Ridgewood, NJ). Modules: Modules are both non-billable and billable. Non-billable: time spent on modules during 8 hours of NBO. Billable: time spent on modules after orientation (ex: annually). Modules are completed pre-start during orientation and annually, and modules vary by specialty. Modules are self-reported as well as recorded via transcripts and facility reports.
