Talent & Workplace Coordinator

C1 is looking for a Talent & Workplace Coordinator to help create an exceptional candidate and employee experience as we continue to grow. This is a highly visible, highly collaborative role for someone who thrives in fast-moving environments, loves bringing order to chaos, and is excited to jump in wherever needed. We are seeking people who are organized, resourceful, communicative, and eager to grow their career at a startup. This role is ideal for someone who may not have done every part of the job before, but who is proactive, learns quickly, and genuinely enjoys helping teams operate at a high level. What you’ll do: Coordinate interviews across multiple teams and time zones with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail Partner with recruiters and hiring managers to create a strong, thoughtful candidate experience from first touch through offer stage Own interview logistics including scheduling, candidate communication, interviewer prep, and onsite coordination Help maintain recruiting systems and processes, ensuring data stays organized and up to date Work with the onboarding team to support new hire onboarding logistics for folks starting in the Portland office Help run day-to-day office operations for our Portland office, including vendor coordination, office organization, supplies, snacks, events, and general workplace support Identify opportunities to improve processes, automate repetitive work, and help the team scale efficiently Jump into startup problems as they arise — whether that’s coordinating an interview loop, troubleshooting an office issue, or helping prepare for a company event You would be an excellent candidate if you: Are highly organized and naturally detail-oriented Communicate clearly, professionally, and warmly Stay calm under pressure and can manage multiple moving pieces at once Take ownership instead of waiting to be told what to do Enjoy being in-office and helping create a welcoming, well-run environment Like owning in-office celebrations and fun times Are resourceful and comfortable figuring things out independently Care deeply about candidate and employee experience Want to be part of building something, not just maintaining it Extra credit if you: Have experience in large-scale coordination involving multiple calendars and variables Have worked in an environment that necessitated “filling in the gaps” as you saw them happening Have experience with tools like Ashby, Google Workspace, Slack, or Zoom (or similar tools) Enjoy process improvement and operational problem-solving Have helped coordinate office events, onboarding, or workplace operations before Location Requirement This role is based in Portland, OR and requires working from the office 4 days per week.
