KY Territory Manager

Job Description

CMI Equipment Sales Inc is looking for a driven outside-sales professional to represent our equipment lines across Kentucky.

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys building relationships with municipalities, contractors, fleet managers, and business owners while helping customers find the right equipment solutions for their operations.

The role includes:

• Managing and growing an established Kentucky territory

• Calling on municipal, private, and contractor accounts
\n
• Selling industry-leading equipment and supporting customers after the sale

• Building new opportunities through consistent prospecting and follow-up
\n
• Working closely with our Tennessee and Kentucky sales team
\n

CMI offers a competitive compensation plan (base + commission), company vehicle, benefits, and the support of an established equipment dealership.

Equipment-sales experience is a plus, but we are most interested in someone who is motivated, accountable, relationship-driven, and willing to put in the work to grow the territory.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to build relationships and sell in an outside B2B sales environment.

• Strong communication, follow-up, and customer-service skills before and after the sale.

• Self-motivated and organized, with the ability to independently manage a multi-county territory, sales pipeline, and travel schedule.

• Comfortable using a CRM to document account activity, manage opportunities, and maintain accurate forecasts.

• Able to identify opportunities, understand customer operations, and present equipment solutions using a consultative sales approach.

• Equipment-sales experience is preferred; municipal, construction, vocational truck, waste, or related industry experience is a plus.

• Travel is required approximately 3–6 nights per month for customer visits, equipment demonstrations, training, trade shows, and company meetings.

• Must live in Kentucky or be willing to relocate.

• Valid driver’s license required. Class B CDL preferred, or willingness to obtain one within 60 days.

• High school diploma required; associate’s or bachelor’s degree is a plus.
