Senior Tax Associate - Newburgh, NY

Firm:

An independent wealth management and financial advisory firm founded nearly 30 years ago that provides investment management, financial planning, tax strategy, and family office services for individuals, families, businesses, nonprofits, and family offices.

Role:

Our client is seeking a detail-oriented Senior Tax Associate to support tax preparation, compliance, and planning activities. The ideal candidate has strong analytical skills, relevant tax experience, and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and assist with individual, corporate, sales, and payroll tax returns.
• Support tax planning, research, and compliance efforts.
• Assist with audits and respond to tax authority inquiries.
• Review financial information to identify tax implications and planning opportunities.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
• CPA or EA preferred (or actively pursuing).
• 1+ years of tax preparation experience.
• Experience with tax preparation and accounting software (e.g., ProSeries, QuickBooks).

Compensation/Benefits:

• Base Salary: $80-85k+, commensurate with experience.
• Additional Compensation: Annual performance-based bonus.
