Experienced MIG Welder

We are seeking an Experienced Welder/Fabricator to produce steel pump skids for large pump units in a busy, non-climate-controlled shop.  Pay based on experience, 3-4 week project that could lead to a long term assginment.

Experienced MIG Welder Details:

  • Temporary position
  • $25.00 to $30.00 / hour
  • Full Time work available
  • First Shift ( Monday through Friday )

This role involves MIG welding, assembly, grinding, painting, and torch work, & general shop support. Ideal candidates are safety-minded, mechanically inclined, and comfortable working in an industrial environment.

DUTIES:

  • MIG welding of steel components for pump skid assemblies- Assembly of pump skids including layout, fitting, and bolting
  • Grinding & surface prep using air and electric grinders- Painting and touch?up coating of fabricated components
  • Torch cutting and basic thermal cutting operations
  • Deburring, cleaning, and finishing of parts
  • Operate forklifts (preferred) and overhead cranes for material handling
  • Assist mechanics with dismantling pumps and general shop tasks
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area

Experienced MIG Welder Qualifications:

  • 5+ years proven MIG welding experience (required)
  • Ability to read basic shop drawings and follow instructions
  • Experience using air grinders, electric grinders, cordless drills, hand taps, and similar tools
  • Forklift experience strongly preferred
  • Ability to operate or learn to operate an overhead crane
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to assist with pump teardown
  • Ability to work in a non-climate-controlled environment
  • Must have own welding hood and gloves
  • Applicant may be subject to a background check
  • Pre-employment drug screen is required as a condition of employment
