NextStep Recruiting is partnering on a confidential search for an attorney to join a sophisticated intellectual property disputes practice in Dallas. This opportunity is ideal for someone with a strong patent litigation foundation, a technical academic background, and the ability to take ownership of meaningful case work while working directly with clients.

What you’ll do

• Handle patent litigation matters from early case assessment through active dispute resolution
• Draft and revise briefs, motions, pleadings, and other court filings while managing deadlines and procedural requirements
• Support case strategy, client communication, and day-to-day coordination across complex matters
• Contribute to legal analysis involving infringement, validity, and enforceability issues

What they’re looking for

• 3+ years of experience in intellectual property disputes with a clear focus on patent litigation
• Active Texas bar license in good standing plus USPTO admission
• Technical degree required, with Electrical Engineering strongly preferred
• Strong writing, communication, and case management skills
• Experience handling substantive client interaction and helping drive litigation strategy
