2nd Shift Lead / Cutter Operator (Guillotine Cutter)

Prisma Nashville is seeking an experienced 2nd Shift Lead / Cutter Operator to operate and oversee production on a guillotine paper cutter in a fast-paced commercial printing environment. This role is responsible for precise cutting of printed materials, leading second-shift operations, and ensuring productivity, quality, and safety standards are met.The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with strong technical cutting skills, attention to detail, and the ability to guide and support a small team during second-shift operations.Key ResponsibilitiesCutter OperationSet up and operate a guillotine cutterRead and interpret job tickets, layouts, and cut sheetsPerform precise trimming, cutting, and stacking of paper and printed materialsEnsure finished pieces meet quality and dimensional specificationsPerform routine maintenance, blade changes, and minor troubleshootingLead ResponsibilitiesAct as the lead operator for 2nd shift operationsAssign work, coordinate job flow, and monitor production schedulesTrain, mentor, and support 2nd shift team members as neededServe as point of contact for supervisors during second shiftEnsure safety procedures and company policies are followedQuality & SafetyInspect work for accuracy and quality throughout productionMaintain clean, organized, and safe work areasFollow all OSHA and equipment safety guidelines3+ years experience operating a guillotine cutter in a commercial printing environmentPrior lead or supervisory experience preferredStrong understanding of paper types, grain direction, and finishing processesAbility to read job tickets and work independentlyMechanical aptitude and strong attention to detailAbility to stand for long periods, bend, twist and lift up to 50 lbsReliable attendance and ability to work 2nd shift consistentlyPreferred ExperienceBackground in bindery or finishing departmentsExperience with high-volume or quick-turn print environmentsFamiliarity with digital and offset print workflowsWhat We OfferCompetitive hourly pay (based on experience)Shift premium for 2nd shiftOvertime opportunitiesHealth, dental, and vision insurancePaid time off and holidaysStable, growing company with advancement opportunities #J-18808-Ljbffr Prisma Graphic
