Conduct thorough evaluations for pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients utilizing standardized assessments and observational methods.
Create customized treatment plans that cater to both immediate and prolonged communication, cognitive, or swallowing challenges.
Deliver personalized speech therapy sessions focusing on language, fluency, voice, and swallowing issues.
Collaborate with fellow healthcare professionals, families, and caregivers to design comprehensive care strategies.
Provide education to patients and their families to encourage progress beyond therapy sessions.
Perform occasional speech therapy evaluations and interventions for inpatients, ensuring seamless continuity of care throughout treatment.
Document patient progress and treatment outcomes accurately, in accordance with state and federal regulations.
Engage in continuous learning and peer collaboration to stay abreast of advancements in your field.
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a recognized institution.
Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) prior to ASHA certification, if applicable.
Active state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist.
Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required within 30 days of hire.
Knowledge and expertise in evidence-based practices catering to all ages with a strong understanding of speech, language, and swallowing disorders.
Exceptional interpersonal abilities for effective communication with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
Ability to tailor therapy strategies to meet diverse cultural and linguistic needs.
Strong clinical judgment paired with excellent problem-solving abilities.
Skilled in electronic medical records management and compliance with documentation standards.
