Key Responsibilities

As a Cardiology Nurse Practitioner, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Conducting thorough patient assessments, including compiling detailed medical histories, performing comprehensive physical examinations, and executing essential diagnostic tests to evaluate cardiovascular health.
• Developing personalized treatment plans in close collaboration with cardiologists and healthcare colleagues to ensure effective management of patient health.
• Managing and monitoring chronic cardiovascular conditions such as hypertension, heart failure, and arrhythmias, tailoring interventions to individual patient needs.
• Providing extensive patient education on lifestyle modifications, medication adherence, and preventive measures that promote heart health and risk reduction.
• Performing and interpreting crucial diagnostic procedures, including EKGs, stress tests, and echocardiograms, ensuring a thorough understanding of patient cardiovascular status.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing from an accredited institution is required.
• Current Nurse Practitioner license in the state of New York.

• A minimum of two (2) years of direct experience in cardiology or a related specialty is essential.

Compensation and Benefits
