Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including evaluating medical histories, performing physical examinations, and utilizing various diagnostic tests to formulate effective care strategies.
• Diagnose and treat patients suffering from conditions such as coronary artery disease, heart failure, arrhythmias, and valvular heart disorders.
• Utilize advanced imaging techniques, including echocardiograms and stress tests, to assess heart function and guide treatment decisions.
• Design customized treatment plans that encompass medication prescriptions, lifestyle changes, and recommendations for ongoing cardiac rehabilitation.
• Perform interventional procedures, including but not limited to angioplasty, stenting, and pacemaker implantation, under the guidance of our experienced cardiology team.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure cohesive and comprehensive care plans that address all aspects of patients’ health.
• Educate patients on cardiovascular health, including strategies for managing existing conditions and preventing future complications.
• Participate actively in ongoing research initiatives, contributing to clinical trials and staying abreast of the latest advancements in cardiology.
• Maintain meticulous medical records in our electronic health record (EHR) system, ensuring up-to-date documentation of patient encounters.
• Engage in continual professional development, attending workshops and seminars to enhance skills and knowledge in the cardiology field.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This role will serve a diverse population of patients, primarily individuals with various cardiovascular diseases ranging from mild to complex. Many patients reside within our assisted living facility, requiring compassion, patience, and a commitment to enhancing their quality of life through effective cardiac management.

Qualifications

• A medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution.
• Completion of an internal medicine residency program.
• Fellowship training in cardiology from an accredited program.
• Board certification or eligibility in cardiology, issued by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM) or an equivalent.
• A valid medical license to practice in New York State.
• Demonstrated expertise in diagnosing and managing a broad spectrum of cardiovascular conditions.
• Proficiency in using and interpreting advanced cardiac diagnostic tools.
• Strong analytical skills, exceptional communication abilities, and a collaborative mindset.

Preferred Experience

Compensation and Benefits
