Director, Internal Wholesaling

Our client is a globally backed financial services provider headquartered in Boston. They specialize in a comprehensive suite of wealth and protection solutions, including life insurance, retirement services, and asset management. What you will achieve in this role Lead and develop a high-performing, multi-tiered Sales Desk team, providing direct coaching and development to Internal Wholesalers and Sales Support Specialists to build a culture of accountability and collaboration. Translate distribution strategy into actionable Sales Desk plans, ensuring team priorities are closely aligned with broader business goals and regional sales initiatives. Drive proactive sales execution by overseeing opportunity identification, pipeline management, complex proposals, and conversion strategies to maximize distribution growth. Optimize service delivery across the end-to-end presales lifecycle - including inbound inquiries, case coordination, and product illustrations - by establishing clear service levels and quality standards. Champion operational excellence by refining staffing models, workflows, resource allocation, and performance metrics to increase organizational efficiency and scalability. Serve as a trusted advisor and key liaison within the broader sales leadership team, collaborating cross-functionally to provide critical insights that inform business planning and process enhancements. What you must bring to this role 5+ years of progressive management and sales leadership experience, with a proven track record of developing talent and managing complex, multi-tiered teams. 7+ years of experience in insurance, financial services, or a closely related wholesale distribution environment. Active state Life & Health insurance license. Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and professional business experience. Strong subject matter expertise in Life and Annuities products. (Nice to have) Demonstrated capability in service operations, process optimization, and leading change across complex, cross-functional initiatives. Exceptional communication, decision-making, and stakeholder influence skills, with the ability to partner effectively across all levels of leadership. Only those who are qualified will be contacted.
