This is a permanent, full-time position. This position provides daily supervision, coordinates field activities, maintains quality standards, and promotes a culture of safety and teamwork. We are looking for someone local to Asheville. We are not looking for travelling tradespeople.**Military Veterans encouraged to apply!****Your pay:** Starting pay is dependent upon experience. Ensure everyone is working in a safe manner and always wearing appropriate PPE.* Coordinate daily work activities to ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, and within budget.* Perform layout, installation oversight, and quality control of commercial piping systems.* Plan manpower, materials, tools, and equipment required for assigned work.* Maintain accurate daily reports, timekeeping records, and project documentation.* Train, mentor, and develop journeymen and apprentices.* Coordinate with Project Managers, Superintendents, General Contractors, and other trades to resolve field issues.* Inspect work to ensure compliance with contract requirements, company standards, and applicable codes.* Support project startup, testing, commissioning, and turnover activities.* Other duties as assigned.**Experience or Certification needed:*** 5 or more years of commercial piping and/or welding installation.* Prior experience Foreman experience is preferred.* Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and construction documents.* Working knowledge of applicable mechanical and building codes.* Valid driver's license required.**You need to be able to:*** Keep it a Drug-free Workplace.* Be punctual and reliable.* Work in extremes of heat, cold and bad weather, indoors and outdoors.* Stand and walk throughout the workday, and lift/carry up to 60 lbs.* Work efficiently in confined spaces.* Ability to problem-solve and make decisions that directly impact the project.* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.* Work reaching above shoulders, crawling, squatting, kneeling, bending.**Comfort Systems USA Shoffner is the region's leader in HVACR, and Plumbing services.
