Business Development Specialist

Prestigious international Law Firm, known for its collaborative and professional atmosphere, is seeking a Business Development Specialist for its New York headquarters. The position will play an integral role supporting the Firm’s Business Development practices. The position is hybrid, requiring 3 days in-office attendance at the Firm's New York headquarters (Hudson Yards area). Key Responsibilities Lead marketing and business development initiatives for assigned lawyers, overseeing events, design, technology, alumni engagement, and BD support. Manage projects end?to?end with clear communication to partners and internal stakeholders. Develop pitches, RFPs, matter lists, and marketing collateral, including drafting qualifications, value propositions, budgets, and financial proposals. Analyze business opportunities, markets, competitors, and client data; collaborate globally to identify cross?selling opportunities. Coordinate internal BD updates, conduct competitive intelligence research, manage directory/awards submissions, and support matter management and league table processes. Partner with Communications, support targeted event strategies, and train junior BD team members. Requirements Bachelor’s degree (preferred majors include Business, Political Science, English, History, Finance). Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills with the ability to work with stakeholders at all levels. Demonstrated project management skills, strong attention to detail, and a proactive, problem?solving mindset. Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint; CRM experience (InterAction) is a plus. 6+ years of experience in a law firm or professional services BD environment preferred; ability to work flexibly as needed.
