Fund Accounting Manager – Private Equity | Hybrid Denver A leading alternative investment platform is seeking a Fund Accounting Manager to join its growing private markets accounting team. This position offers broad exposure across the private equity fund lifecycle and a variety of investment strategies, including private equity, credit, real estate, infrastructure, energy, and other alternative investments. The Fund Accounting Manager will take ownership of day-to-day fund accounting and reporting, manage key client and stakeholder relationships, and oversee junior accounting professionals. The role requires strong technical fund accounting knowledge and hands-on experience with complex private fund structures, capital activity, allocations, and financial reporting. Key Responsibilities Manage the day-to-day accounting and operations for private investment funds and related entities. Take ownership of assigned funds with limited oversight from senior leadership. Oversee and review NAV calculations, general ledger activity, reconciliations, and supporting accounting schedules. Review capital calls, distributions, allocations, management fees, carried interest calculations, waterfalls, and IRRs. Prepare and review quarterly and annual financial statements in accordance with U.S. GAAP and applicable investment company accounting guidance. Review complex private equity transactions and ensure appropriate accounting treatment. Interpret LPAs, side letters, management agreements, fee agreements, and other governing documents to determine fund economics and accounting requirements. Support the accounting and reporting for complex fund structures, including parallel funds, blockers, SPVs, AIVs, co-investment vehicles, and management companies. Oversee new fund launches and the initial setup of accounting and reporting processes. Coordinate with auditors, tax professionals, investment teams, and other internal and external stakeholders. Manage, mentor, and review the work of junior accounting professionals. Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, controls, reporting, and overall operational efficiency. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Approximately 7+ years of relevant private equity, private funds, investment management, or fund accounting experience. Strong understanding of investment company accounting and ASC 946. Hands-on experience with private fund accounting, including capital calls, distributions, allocations, waterfalls, and financial reporting. #J-18808-Ljbffr
