The accounts receivable position is responsible for processing incoming payments in compliance with company policies and procedures for the entire organization. The individual in this position will perform day-to-day financial transactions which include verifying and recording accounts receivables' data and communicating with our internal team members and external customers. This position will also reconcile records on a consistent basis to ensure accuracy. Candidates must be able to pass company pre-employment background check and pre-employment drug and alcohol tests.Essential Job ResponsibilitiesVerify and process invoices while reviewing records for appropriate documentation per company policies and proceduresContact resistant payees by sending invoice reminders and communication via phone, email, fax or mail as applicable to setup paymentsEnter data on invoices; ensure proper coding on documentsMaintain accounting reports and spreadsheetsPerform other duties as assignedPost customer payments by recording cash, checks, and credit card transactions and entering them into the general ledger or accounting softwareReconcile the accounts receivable ledger to ensure that all payments are accounted for and properly postedMinimum QualificationsRequired:Minimum of two years' experience with accounts receivableMinimum of an Associate's degree in accounting or business preferredStrong Customer Service SkillsStrong computer skillsHigh attention to detailMaintain confidentialityTeam PlayerStrong time management skillsExcellent data entry managementGood Math SkillsAble to work overtime when neededPhysical Demands and Work EnvironmentThe physical demands and work environment described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
