Work Environment

You will be working onsite at our rehabilitation center in Bayonne, New Jersey, where we foster a positive and inclusive work culture. As part of our team, you will enjoy flexibility in your scheduling, allowing you to balance professional responsibilities with personal commitments. Our typical work schedule spans Monday to Friday from 9 am to 5 pm, ensuring you have weekends free for personal time.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients' physical capabilities through detailed assessments to determine individual needs and rehabilitation goals.
• Create personalized treatment plans, incorporating therapeutic exercises, manual therapy techniques, and modalities to facilitate patient recovery and independence.
• Provide skilled therapy services with compassion, ensuring that each patient feels supported and understood throughout their rehabilitation journey.
• Regularly monitor, document, and evaluate patients' progress, making necessary adjustments to treatment plans for optimal outcomes.
• Engage in collaborative discussions with a multidisciplinary care team, including physicians, occupational therapists, and speech therapists, to ensure a holistic approach to patient care.
• Educate patients and their families on therapeutic exercises, home exercise programs, and injury prevention strategies to encourage self-management.
• Implement fall prevention programs and advocate for safety measures within our assisted living community to mitigate risks for our patients.
• Engage with ongoing education and stay informed about the latest advancements in physical therapy, enhancing your expertise and patient care strategies.
• Uphold ethical and professional standards of practice, maintaining patient confidentiality and respect in all interactions.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our primary focus is on serving the geriatric population, who often face unique challenges related to mobility, strength, and overall functionality due to age-related changes. You will work closely with older adults, helping them navigate their rehabilitation processes and develop strategies for successful aging in place. Your efforts will directly influence their ability to maintain independence and enhance their overall quality of life.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
• Active and valid State licensure as a Physical Therapist.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively engage with patients, their families, and other healthcare professionals.
• Proficient in utilizing electronic medical records (EMRs) and documentation systems necessary for maintaining accurate patient records.
• Knowledge of evidence-based practices and the ability to implement the latest therapeutic techniques in a clinical setting.
• A commitment to providing patient-centered care, with a focus on improving patient outcomes and promoting independence.
• Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.

Preferred Experience

• 1+ years of experience in a physical therapy role, particularly in geriatric care.
• Exposure to outpatient therapy settings and familiarity with various rehabilitation equipment.
• Awareness of best practices in fall prevention and safety within assisted living environments.

Compensation and Benefits

The compensation for this position ranges from USD 100,000 to 120,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
