Accounts Receivable Specialist
A well known pharmaceutical company is looking for an Accounts Receivable Specialist to join its accounting team. This role will support the organization's cash collections, account reconciliation, payment application, and customer account management functions. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, experience managing receivables, and the ability to work effectively in a fast paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage accounts receivable activities, including monitoring outstanding balances and following up on overdue accounts
- Apply incoming payments accurately and reconcile customer accounts
- Research and resolve payment discrepancies, unapplied cash, and account variances
- Communicate with customers regarding outstanding invoices and payment status
- Prepare aging reports and assist with collection efforts to improve cash flow
- Reconcile accounts receivable balances and support month-end close activities
- Maintain accurate customer account records and supporting documentation
- Collaborate with internal departments to resolve billing and payment-related issues
- Utilize financial systems to track receivable activity and generate reporting
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field preferred
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in accounts receivable, collections, accounting, or finance
- Experience managing customer accounts and collections processes
- Strong understanding of accounts receivable principles and cash application procedures
- Experience with ERP or accounting systems; SAP/4HANA
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
