ML Engineer, Simulation Enablement

Salary: $153,200 - 183,800 per year Requirements:

• We require a bachelors degree in Computer Science, Robotics, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical discipline, along with 4+ years of experience demonstrating the equivalent competencies, or a masters degree plus 2+ years of experience.
• We need strong Python skills and experience building or operating data pipelines at scale.
• We look for experience with simulation, replay, or model validation workflows.
• We value familiarity with autonomy or robotics machine learning models such as perception, tracking, prediction, or planning, as well as the data they use.
• We expect comfort working across cloud storage and compute environments.
• We need strong cross-functional communication skills for daily coordination between a platform team and embedded autonomy teams.
• We seek a hands-on problem-solving mindset, with the ability to debug pipeline issues and explain metric discrepancies clearly.

• We serve as the embedded liaison between our Dataloop + Simulation group and one to two Autonomy teams, driving practical adoption of Torc Sim.
• We build the full data flow from the data operations platform through the simulation environment and into persistent storage at scale.
• We onboard autonomy models to run replay and recompute workflows at scale and carry out the related metric evaluation.
• We promote use of our visualization tools and feed UI/UX enhancements into our development backlog.
• We become domain experts in the model area our partner team owns, such as Camera, Lidar, Vehicle Intent, or Object Tracking, so we can implement and maintain integrations.
• We troubleshoot issues across the stack, from ingestion through simulation execution to storage and metrics, and drive them to closure.
• We convert direct feedback from autonomy engineers into actionable requirements for our Dataloop + Simulation product roadmap.
• We document workflows and train new users so adoption can scale beyond our direct support.
