Required Education Minimum of a master’s degree with 18 graduate semester hours (or 27 graduate quarter hours) in the teaching discipline. Preferred Qualifications Teaching experience. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Ability to teach AFRICAN-AMERICAN STUDIES courses at the collegiate level. Ability to teach effectively using a variety of methods. Ability to relate to a diverse student population and facilitate student learning. Effective oral and written communication skills. Demonstrated knowledge of instructional technology. Other Requirements Pre-Employment: Criminal background check required. Work Hours: Classes offered morning, afternoon, and evening, including weekends.
