Job Description
Assist the College of Business (F&FCOB) in clerical/administrative support. The Office Assistant should create and maintain a positive atmosphere and serve as liaison between the students and faculty. Excellent customer service should be the standard.
Responsibilities
- Perform receptionist responsibilities by greeting and directing students and visitors
- Assist with student needs
- Assist with reporting
- Assist with maintaining records
- Monitor social media engagements
- Coordinate Professional Development Events and point system for the F&FCOB
- Assist with event planning
- Assist with website maintenance
- Assist with special needs of the F&FCOB
Requirements
Education: High school diploma or GED
Experience/Skills/Abilities:
- Some administrative experience preferred
- Professional demeanor
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
- Accurate keyboarding skills
- Computer literacy with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Good reading, written, and grammatical skills
- Organizational skills and attention to detail
- Familiarity with webpage design and social media platforms
- Willingness to learn Banner system and other applications
- Self-motivated, flexible, ability to multi-task
- Must have the ability to effectively deal with persons from a variety of cultural backgrounds
- Maintain a high level of confidentiality and compliance with the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA)
