The Union Family Counseling Center is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Mental Health Counselor to join our team in a full-time remote capacity. Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive mental health evaluations and initial assessments, documenting all findings in client records.

• Develop tailored treatment plans for a diverse client base, including individuals, couples, families, and groups, ensuring alignment with best practices in psychotherapy.

• Facilitate engaging individual and group therapy sessions that foster healing and personal growth.
\n
• Regularly monitor and document client progress throughout the treatment process to ensure effective interventions.

• Collaborate closely with other healthcare professionals, including psychiatrists, social workers, and nursing staff, to coordinate and optimize patient care.

• Address and identify potential barriers to recovery, proactively implementing strategies to promote client engagement and well-being.

• Provide guidance to families and primary caregivers, equipping them with tools to support their loved ones facing mental health challenges.

• Manage referrals and ensure seamless transitions for clients who require specialized services or hospitalization.

Qualifications\n

• Master's degree or Doctorate in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
\n
• Current licensure as an LMFT, LMHC, or LICSW in the state of Massachusetts.
\n
• Successful completion of the NCE and/or the NCMHCE licensing exams.
\n
• Strong understanding of electronic health record systems, particularly AVATAR or similar platforms.
\n
• Proficient knowledge of the impacts of mental health treatments and medications prescribed by healthcare professionals.
\n
• Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, enabling effective engagement with clients and interdisciplinary teams.
\n
• A compassionate and empathetic approach, with proficiency in establishing rapport with clients from various backgrounds.

Preferred Experience\n

• A minimum of two years’ experience as a mental health counselor or therapist, demonstrating depth in therapeutic interventions.
\n
• Familiarity with evidence-based practices, including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), or motivational interviewing.
\n
• Experience working with individuals with co-occurring disorders or complicated social histories.
\n
• Knowledge of best practices as outlined by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).

Compensation and Benefits\n

The Union Family Counseling Center offers a competitive salary ranging from USD 80,000 to 100,000 per year, relative to experience and qualifications. Additional benefits include:
