Accountant

The Accountant is responsible for preparing and maintaining financial records to track the organization’s assets, liabilities, profit and loss, tax liabilities, and other related financial activities.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

To perform this job successfully, an individual must perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

• Performs general accounting and other related duties for the organization.
• Customer invoicing, inquiries, payment reminders, and account reconciliation.
• Vendor billing, inquiries, and account reconciliation.
• Maintains knowledge of acceptable accounting practices and procedures.
• Supports HR team including payroll and specific administrative tasks
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance preferred, or related field or 3 years of experience with high school diploma.
  Public or corporate accounting experience preferred.
  Experience in NetSuite and/or Avalara a plus.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Knowledge of general financial accounting and cost accounting.
• Understanding of and the ability to adhere to generally accepted accounting principles.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or similar software, and accounting software.
