Key Responsibilities

As a Physical Therapist with Down East Care Physical Therapy, your daily responsibilities will encompass:

• Conducting thorough evaluations of patients referred by physicians, identifying their unique needs and establishing personalized treatment plans.
• Implementing evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, and functional training, to optimize patient recovery.
• Collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care and to enhance patient outcomes.
• Providing ongoing education and consultation to patients and their caregivers, enabling them to actively participate in the rehabilitation process and understand their treatment goals.
• Demonstrating professionalism and excellent customer service, ensuring a positive experience for each patient you encounter.
• Documenting and tracking patient progress efficiently, meeting established utilization goals and contributing to overall practice objectives.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In your role, you will treat a broad range of patient populations across various specialties, including orthopedic, pediatric, neurologic, and sports medicine. Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

• A Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy from an APTA or CAPTE-approved program.
• A current State License to practice as a Physical Therapist in Florida.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification from the American Heart Association.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, along with proficiency in word processing and computer applications.
