Wellness Works Physical Therapy, PC is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Full-Time Physical Therapist for our outpatient office located in Newark, New Jersey. Key Responsibilities

In your capacity as a Physical Therapist, your responsibilities will include:

• Developing and directing customized physical therapy treatment plans that align with each client's unique needs while preventing disability and alleviating pain.
• Evaluating clients' functional capabilities through diagnostic assessments and designing strategies to improve mobility and strength.
• Overseeing and guiding physical therapy assistants to guarantee that the treatment protocols are implemented effectively and in alignment with the prescribed care plan.
• Conducting home environment evaluations to recommend modifications that enhance clients' independence during rehabilitation.
• Providing therapy sessions that may include manual therapeutic exercises, traction, and various physical agent modalities to maximize therapeutic outcomes.
• Documenting and maintaining comprehensive clinical records, including evaluations, care plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries for each client.
• Participating actively in interdisciplinary team meetings to collaboratively plan and assess comprehensive treatment strategies with input from all relevant health care disciplines.
• Instructing clients and their families in the proper use of assistive devices and educating them on their overall physical therapy program for optimal recovery.
• Staying informed about regulatory compliance and best practices to ensure quality care and uphold the standards of our organization.
• Engaging with clients' families and support systems to foster a holistic treatment environment.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our focus is primarily on adults and seniors requiring rehabilitative care following surgery, injury, or chronic pain management. As a member of our team, you will encounter a diverse patient population, each with distinct backgrounds and needs. You will utilize your expertise to create meaningful relationships that enrich the patient experience while fostering recovery and functional independence.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you must possess:

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program.
• A valid and current Physical Therapist license in New Jersey, in good standing.
• At least 1 year of clinical experience as a Physical Therapist, ideally in an acute care or home care setting.
• Current CPR certification.
• A strong commitment to clinical excellence, continuous learning, and contribution to team goals.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively communicate with patients, families, and colleagues.
• Proficiency in adhering to all federal, state, and industry regulations relevant to physical therapy practice.

Preferred Experience

While not mandatory, candidates with the following qualifications will be given preference:

• Experience with specialized physical therapy techniques or treatments relevant to our patient population.
• Engagement in professional organizations related to physical therapy or healthcare.
• Demonstrated ability to lead or mentor Physical Therapy Assistants in their roles.

Compensation and Benefits

This full-time position offers a competitive salary ranging from USD 100,000 – 120,000 annually. In addition, we provide comprehensive benefits including health insurance, paid time off, and professional development support to encourage ongoing education and certification.
