Floorplan Xpress is seeking a self-motivated Area Representative to support independent automotive dealers throughout the Austin market. This position combines dealer relationship management, account support, and vehicle inspections.

This is not an office or work-from-home position. The Area Representative spends each workday traveling throughout the assigned territory, visiting dealerships, inspecting vehicles, and working directly with dealers. There is no local office for this position.

Key Responsibilities

• Travel throughout the assigned territory and visit dealers in person each workday
• Conduct physical inspections of vehicles on dealer lots
• Locate, photograph, evaluate, and assign condition ratings to financed vehicles
• Document vehicle damage, condition changes, missing vehicles, and other concerns
• Build and maintain strong working relationships with assigned dealers
• Help dealers understand and appropriately use their available credit lines
• Support the onboarding and development of new dealer relationships
• Educate dealers on Floorplan Xpress policies, processes, and performance expectations
• Review account activity and address concerns directly with dealers
• Identify and report policy violations, suspicious activity, and other risk concerns
• Assist with collections, vehicle recovery, title delivery, and condition reports when needed
• Document dealer visits, inspections, and account activity in company systems
• Work with the Regional Manager and other departments to resolve account concerns

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record
• Strong customer service, communication, and relationship-building skills
• Strong organization, time management, and follow-through
• Ability to independently plan and manage a daily travel schedule
• Confidence communicating expectations and addressing difficult situations
• Ability to use mobile technology, CRM systems, and Microsoft Office programs
• Ability to drive for extended periods and work outdoors in various weather conditions
• Ability to frequently enter and exit a vehicle, move around vehicles, and lift up to 50 pounds
• Willingness to travel throughout the territory, including occasional overnight stays

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in automotive, dealership operations, lending, collections, outside sales, field inspections, or route-based service
• Knowledge of vehicles, vehicle parts, and basic vehicle condition assessment
• Experience using CRM software
• Bilingual in English and Spanish

This Role Is NOT

• A work-from-home position
• An office or desk-based position
• A traditional retail car sales position
• A role where dealer communication is handled primarily by phone or email

This position requires consistent daily travel and in-person dealer visits. Administrative work is required, but the assigned territory is the Area Representative's primary workplace.
