Description Key Responsibilities

• Conduct both standard and advanced laboratory tests across various areas such as chemistry, hematology, and immunology, adhering strictly to established protocols.
• Evaluate test results for accuracy, troubleshoot discrepancies, and ensure lab instruments undergo preventative maintenance and proper calibration.
• Assist in the collection of specimens and the preparation of samples for a range of tests as required.
• Keep comprehensive documentation of all procedures, mentor new staff or interns, and consistently maintain high-quality lab standards.
• Uphold a clean, secure laboratory environment while meeting all regulatory and accreditation requirements.

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Clinical or Medical Laboratory Science, or a comparable allied health degree, in addition to ASCP/AMT certification preparation.

Certifications

• ASCP or AMT Board of Certification in Clinical Laboratory Science (CLS) must be obtained within one year of hire.
• Maintain active certification throughout your employment.
