Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Key Qualifications:

• Valid Illinois Special Education Teaching License is required
• Fluency in both English and Spanish
• Demonstrated experience working with junior high or high school students in special education
• Proven history of long-term commitment to educational roles
• Strong focus on student development, engagement, and individualized learning plans, rather than solely curriculum delivery

Responsibilities:

• Develop and deliver specialized instruction tailored to bilingual students in grades 6–8
• Create an inclusive, supportive classroom culture with class sizes of 20 students or less
• Adapt lessons and assessments for diverse learning needs in both languages
• Foster strong student relationships and consistently advocate for student success
• Collaborate with colleagues and families to support holistic student development
• Maintain accurate records, IEP documentation, and progress reports
