LHH is seeking an Academic Coordinator for a respected institution in the higher education and dental education space. This temporary opportunity is ideal for an experienced higher education professional who enjoys supporting academic operations, student services, and departmental leadership. The Academic Coordinator will serve as a key administrative partner to the department manager while helping ensure smooth day-to-day operations for students, faculty, and staff.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct administrative support to the Department Manager and departmental leadership
• Coordinate calendars, meetings, appointments, and departmental communications
• Support student services activities and assist with academic program administration
• Serve as a point of contact for students, faculty, and internal stakeholders
• Prepare reports, correspondence, meeting materials, and presentations
• Maintain accurate student and departmental records
• Assist with onboarding, orientations, events, and special projects
• Monitor department processes and provide operational support as needed
• Manage confidential information with professionalism and discretion
• Ensure excellent customer service and responsiveness across the department

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience within a college, university, or higher education environment required
• Recent higher education experience is required
• Experience supporting academic departments, student services, enrollment, advising, or related educational programs
• Strong administrative support and coordination experience
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail and follow-through
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Associate degree required; Bachelor's degree preferred

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, Business Hours

Salary Range: $26.00 - $28.00 per hour, depending on experience

Transportation: Conveniently located approximately 3-5 minutes from a BART station
