About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Intensive Care Unit Duration: 25 weeks Shift: Day/Night Rotating Shifts Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 2 years of ICU experience preferred License: Active Registered Nurse License in California Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS Must-Have: - Recent adult medical/surgical critical care experience - Ability to float to various departments and units Description: This position involves rotating shifts of 12 hours in an intensive care setting. The nurse will be required to float to various units depending on operational needs. Nurses should submit all requests for time off at the time of the offer. Requests submitted after the contract is signed will not be considered. Candidates must be capable of attending various facilities within the network. Completed references must be provided at the time of submission. Preferred experience includes a minimum of 2.5 years in an ICU. Skills include managing arterial lines, assisting with chest tube insertion/removal, and administering emergency medications. The candidate should be familiar with charting systems and have experience with patient ratios relevant to intensive care. Responsibilities include monitoring critically ill patients and providing advanced nursing care as needed. Interdisciplinary support and collaboration with various teams is essential for successful patient outcomes. Participation in standard hospital protocols and procedures is required. Candidates should be prepared to handle diverse patient diagnoses and be responsive to acute care situations. This role requires exceptional organizational skills and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
