Speech-Language Pathologist

Speech-Language Pathologist Position in Ashburnham‑Westminster Regional Schools, Ashburnham, Massachusetts. Job Description The Speech‑Language Pathologist (SLP) supports students in Overlook Middle School and Oakmont High School by providing comprehensive assessment, direct and consultative services, and case management in alignment with IDEA and Massachusetts 603 CMR regulations. The SLP collaborates with building‑based teams to ensure students can access instruction in the least restrictive environment. Key Responsibilities Conduct initial and three‑year reevaluation assessments; write clear, comprehensive reports; present findings at team meetings. Draft IEP goals/objectives aligned to evaluation data; write service delivery grids; complete progress reports on schedule. Provide direct/consult service delivery (individual/small group; push‑in/pull‑out) addressing articulation, language, fluency, voice, and social/pragmatic communication. Attend and actively participate in initial, reevaluation, and annual review team meetings; meet all timelines and documentation requirements. Support Response to Intervention as needed (screening, short‑term interventions, data tracking, parent communication). Partner with teachers, counselors, related service providers, and administrators to design supports and accommodations; provide classroom strategies. Maintain accurate records and data; complete required district/Medicaid documentation per procedure. Collaborate with AT/AAC specialists to support students using low/high‑tech communication systems; assist with training staff and families. Follow ASHA Code of Ethics and district policies; participate in PD; maintain licensure. Position Type Full‑time Job Requirements Master’s degree in Speech‑Language Pathology from an accredited program. Massachusetts DESE licensure as a Speech‑Language Pathologist (All Levels). Strong written and oral communication skills; skill with data collection and progress monitoring. Ability to travel between schools within the district; reliable transportation if needed. Current Massachusetts Board of Registration license in Speech‑Language Pathology (preferred). ASHA CCC‑SLP (CF candidates considered with appropriate supervision). Experience in school‑based practice, MTSS/RTI, and collaboration on multidisciplinary teams. Knowledge of AAC and culturally/linguistically responsive practices; bilingual skills a plus. Work in school‑based settings across multiple buildings; occasional lifting or moving of materials or devices up to ~25 lbs. Reasonable accommodations provided.
