We are looking for a dependable Accounting Clerk to support daily administrative and accounting activities for a part-time schedule of approximately 25 hours per week in Ohio. This contract-to-permanent opportunity is ideal for someone who enjoys balancing financial data entry with general office support and can adapt to a flexible workday arrangement. The role combines routine accounting tasks with occasional assistance in customer communication, records management, and operational backup support.

Responsibilities:
• Enter accounts payable information accurately into company records and assist with invoice-related processing.
• Apply incoming customer payments to accounts receivable records and help maintain current account balances.
• Review and reconcile employee expense submissions to ensure documentation and amounts are correct.
• Provide backup assistance for shipping, receiving, and basic inventory-related activities when needed.
• Respond to incoming customer questions by phone and direct inquiries appropriately while delivering attentive service.
• Maintain organized physical and electronic filing systems to support office efficiency and record retention.
• Offer day-to-day administrative support to team members as priorities shift across the office.
• Use QuickBooks Desktop Enterprise 2024 along with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and basic Excel to complete assigned work.
• Support general office operations through accurate data entry and timely follow-up on assigned tasks.• Experience handling accounts payable, accounts receivable, or other clerical accounting responsibilities.
• Proficiency with QuickBooks and confidence working in a desktop accounting environment.
• Strong data entry skills with attention to detail and accuracy in financial records.
• Ability to process invoices, post payments, and assist with expense report reconciliation.
• Comfortable using Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, and basic Excel functions.
• Willingness to provide backup support for shipping, receiving, filing, and customer service tasks.
• Effective communication skills and a detail-oriented approach to assisting internal teams and customers.
