Salary Information

The established salary scales indicate the minimum compensation based on the type of appointment and, if relevant, rank or step. For this role, the salary range is set between $93,700 and $440,000. Annual salary negotiations are standard practice. Additional compensation may be available for those included in the Health Sciences Compensation Plan.

Our organization is dedicated to fostering academic excellence among faculty, staff, and students. We are currently seeking clinical gastroenterologists with a specialization in managing inflammatory bowel diseases (IBD) and conducting clinical research in this area.

The selected candidates will primarily focus on either:

• Providing clinical care to patients with IBD, or
• Engaging in clinical investigation related to outcomes, health services research, or translational research in applied clinical informatics.

Successful candidates will also take on leadership roles in teaching, research, or service to enhance our scholarly community. The appropriate appointment level—Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor—will be determined based on the candidate's qualifications and experience.

It may be necessary for candidates to secure their own funding. As part of the Health Sciences Compensation Plan, appointees should note that there are restrictions on outside professional engagements, and clinical moonlighting is strictly prohibited.

Required at the time of application:

• Possession of an MD or equivalent degree.
• Board certification or eligibility in Gastroenterology.
• Eligibility for a California medical license or equivalent certification as determined by the Medical Board of California.
• Completion or current pursuit of advanced fellowship training in IBD and/or Gastroenterology.
