Job Title: School-Based Instructional Aid/Paraprofessional
Location: North Kansas City School District
Employment Type: Full-time
Position Overview
We are seeking a reliable and student-centered Instructional Aid/Paraprofessional to support students in a school-based setting. This role involves working with a diverse K–12 caseload, providing both academic and behavioral support in individual and group environments.
Key Responsibilities
Provide 1:1 and small group support to students in classroom settings
Assist with the implementation of instructional and behavioral plans
Support students with academic tasks, social skills, and daily routines
Help maintain a positive, structured, and inclusive learning environment
Monitor and document student progress as directed by teaching staff
Qualifications
Comfortable working with a K–12 student population
Ability to support students in both 1:1 and group settings
DESE substitute OR DESE paraprofessional certification
Previous experience as a school paraprofessional or behavior aide (preferred)
Compensation & Benefits
Pay negotiable depending on experience
