IT Support Specialist

Based on our government contracts, US Citizenship is required. Hours are Monday through Friday 8 am to 4:30 pm. Your expertise will help maintain a robust IT infrastructure, troubleshoot software and hardware issues, and deliver exceptional customer service to empower our teams to perform at their best. Deliver prompt and effective technical support for hardware, software, operating systems (Windows, macOS, Linux), and network issues via help desk platforms such as ServiceNow, Jira, or BMC Remedy Manage computer systems including desktops, laptops, servers, and peripherals to ensure optimal performance and security Configure and troubleshoot computer networking components such as LAN (Local Area Network), VPN (Virtual Private Network), firewalls, and switches to maintain reliable connectivity Assist with the setup, deployment, and maintenance of IT infrastructure components including operating systems, software applications like Microsoft Office, and security tools Conduct hardware repairs or replacements for computers and related equipment while maintaining detailed records of all support activities Support cybersecurity measures by managing firewall settings, VPN access, and monitoring for potential threats or vulnerabilities Communicate clearly with end-users to diagnose issues efficiently while providing excellent customer service in a professional manner Proven experience in providing IT support or help desk services in a fast-paced environment Strong knowledge of operating systems including Windows, macOS, and Linux platforms Hands-on experience with computer hardware installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance Familiarity with network configurations such as LAN setup, VPNs, firewalls, and basic networking protocols Proficiency with software troubleshooting for common applications like Microsoft Office suite and enterprise tools such as ServiceNow or Jira Ability to communicate technical information effectively to non-technical users Experience working with IT management tools like BMC Remedy or ServiceNow is preferred but not mandatory Embark on a career where your technical skills make a real difference!
