Description of Responsibilities

• Conduct a diverse range of ultrasound examinations, such as abdominal, obstetric, gynecological, vascular, and small parts imaging
• Ensure patient comfort and safety throughout procedures, offering clear and compassionate explanations at every turn
• Collaborate with radiologists and referring physicians to supply high-quality diagnostic images
• Operate and maintain imaging equipment efficiently, reporting any issues without delay
• Document procedures accurately and maintain patient records within the electronic medical system
• Stay informed about advancements in ultrasound imaging techniques and best practices

Education Requirements

• An Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or a related field
• Graduation from a CAAHEP-accredited Sonography program is preferred

Certifications Required

• Current certification by the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or an equivalent
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification preferred

Skills Needed

• Strong technical skills in sonographic imaging techniques and optimal patient positioning
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
