Position Overview We are on the lookout for a dedicated and empathetic Sonography / Ultrasound Imaging Specialist to be part of a dynamic team that prioritizes patient-centered care. Utilizing advanced ultrasound technology, you will conduct diagnostic procedures, work cohesively with a nurturing team of clinicians, and bring reassurance to patients through prompt and precise imaging. Description of Responsibilities
- Conduct a range of ultrasound examinations, including abdominal, obstetric, gynecological, vascular, and small anatomy imaging
- Ensure a comfortable and safe environment for patients during examinations, explaining each process with sensitivity and clarity
- Collaborate closely with radiologists and referring clinicians to produce superior diagnostic images
- Operate and uphold imaging equipment, addressing any technical issues as they arise
- Maintain accurate records and document procedures in the electronic medical record system
- Stay informed about latest advancements in ultrasound imaging protocols and best practices
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or a related area
- Preferred completion of a CAAHEP-accredited Sonography program
- Active certification from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or an equivalent body
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification preferred
- Solid technical expertise in sonographic imaging methodologies and patient positioning
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities
- Capacity to work independently as well as within a multidisciplinary team
