Accounting Manager POST NUMBER: 479494

We are recruiting an Accounting Manager to join a growing finance organization and play a key role in financial reporting, close management, team leadership, and process improvement initiatives. This position offers significant visibility across the business and the opportunity to influence accounting operations as the organization continues to scale.  The ideal candidate combines strong technical accounting expertise with a hands-on leadership style and a passion for building efficient, scalable processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the monthly close process, ensuring timely and accurate completion of accounting activities across multiple business areas.
• Review journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules prepared by staff and senior accountants.
• Manage the preparation and review of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and related reporting packages.
• Analyze financial results, investigate variances, and provide insights to finance leadership regarding key trends and performance drivers.
• Support external audits and maintain high-quality documentation to ensure compliance with accounting policies and internal controls.
• Mentor, develop, and provide day-to-day guidance to accounting team members, fostering accountability and professional growth.
• Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to improve processes, strengthen controls, and enhance reporting capabilities.
• Lead or participate in finance transformation initiatives, including automation, workflow optimization, and systems-related projects.
• Assist with accounting research, policy development, and the evaluation of complex transactions in accordance with U.S. GAAP.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.  CPA required
• 4 years of progressive accounting experience,  a foundation in public accounting and experience within a software, technology, or recurring-revenue business environment is highly preferred
• Demonstrated experience leading month-end close, preparing financial statements, and supervising or mentoring accounting professionals.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, financial reporting, and process improvement
