Accounting Manager POST NUMBER: 480693

We are recruiting an Accounting Manager for a company in the RTP area, this is a new role due to growth.  You will lead day-to-day accounting operations and serve as a key partner to finance leadership.  The ideal candidate will bring a strong foundation in general accounting, experience supporting inventory-driven operations, and the ability to thrive in an environment where priorities evolve alongside business growth.

Responsibilities:

• Manage the monthly, quarterly, and annual close process, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
• Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules.
• Maintain the general ledger and oversee day-to-day accounting activities, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, invoicing, and cash management.
• Support inventory accounting, cost analysis, and operational reporting activities.
• Assist with revenue recognition, contract review, and related accounting considerations.
• Partner with operations, sales, and leadership teams to improve financial visibility and reporting accuracy.
• Develop, document, and enhance accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.
• Coordinate with external auditors, tax advisors, and other professional service providers.
• Maintain fixed asset records and support capital expenditure tracking.
• Prepare financial analyses and management reports to support business decision-making.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field, CPA is a plus
• 5 years of progressive accounting experience.
• Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting principles.
• Experience with both the execution of day-to-day accounting activities and the development of scalable processes and controls.
